Threading pulls hair from the root, so it does have some discomfort — less than wax, more than shaving. Anyone promising completely painless root removal is not being honest.

Go slowly the first time and keep the skin taut with your other hand.

Use on clean, dry skin. Do not use on broken, irritated or sunburnt skin, or over moles. Skin may be pink for an hour afterwards — avoid sun and makeup on the area straight after.

Clean the head after every use and do not share it.
