The spatula works on softened pores. Used on dry skin it does almost nothing and just drags. Warm the face first with a flannel, a shower or a steamer, keep the skin damp, and it works properly.

Use light pressure and keep it moving. Once or twice a week is enough — over-scrubbing damages the skin barrier and makes oiliness worse, not better.

Avoid the eye area. Do not use on active breakouts, broken, sunburnt or irritated skin, or if you use retinoids or strong acids without checking with your dermatologist first.

Clean the spatula after every use.
