It Handles Leafy Greens

This is the real difference. Spinach, kale, celery, wheatgrass and parsley slip past a fast blade almost untouched. A slow auger grips and presses them.

Less Heat, Less Foam

Slow crushing generates little heat and whips less air into the juice, so it separates more slowly and keeps its colour longer.

Good to Know

Slow means slow. Feeding produce in gradually is how it works — forcing it through jams the auger. A glass of juice takes a few minutes rather than seconds.

Cut produce to fit the chute, and remove large stones and hard pits.

Rinse it immediately after juicing. Pulp dries into the mesh screen within an hour and becomes very difficult to remove — that, not performance, is why slow juicers end up unused.
