Misting works best in dry air. In the humid coastal months it cools far less, because the air is already holding water. Inland and in air-conditioned rooms it works well.

This is a personal cooling fan, not an air conditioner. It will not cool a room.

Use plain water — no additives. Empty the tank if you are storing it, and keep the mist away from electronics and soft furnishings.
