Why Three Stages
A single-slot sharpener grinds. It takes metal off and leaves a rough edge that dulls again quickly. Three stages work in sequence: coarse to reshape the edge, medium to refine it, fine to polish it.
That sequence creates a double-bevelled edge, which is what makes the sharpness last rather than disappearing after two meals.
Diamond Abrasives
Diamond is harder than steel, which is why it cuts a clean edge quickly instead of dragging. It also handles ceramic knives, which most household sharpeners cannot touch.
It Stays Put
Non-slip rubber feet grip the worktop. This is a safety feature, not a comfort one — a sharpener that slides while you are pulling a knife through it is genuinely dangerous.
The Head Comes Out
Press the small groove and pull, and the sharpening head detaches. Metal filings collect inside every sharpener — this one can actually be emptied and washed rather than shaken over a bin.

How to Use It Properly
- Place it on a flat, dry surface and hold the handle firmly
- Start at the coarse slot only if the knife is genuinely blunt — otherwise skip it
- Draw the knife through from heel to tip, in one smooth pull, 3-5 times
- Repeat through the medium slot, then the fine slot
- Wash and dry the blade before using it
Safety
Pull the knife towards you through the slot, never push it away. Keep your other hand on the handle, not near the slots. Keep out of reach of children — and remember a freshly sharpened knife is far more dangerous than the blunt one you started with.
Serrated and scalloped blades should not be put through a pull-through sharpener.
